Chop suey song meanings11/23/2023 Im sure that most things would have been cancelled on September 12. It could mean that America need to wake up to their governments policy's on things like prisons (prison song explores this idea) "AMERICA! AWAKE!!!" This could mean many things you cannot assume that Serj is talking about September 11. If this is right then it could possible that system of a down dont believe in a better life after death, extremist Islamics believe this and they are the ones behind the attacks on America. This is only my interpretation. Towards the end of the song he says "Don't ever try to fly" and "Never try to die" maybe saying something like do not commit sucide for afterlife because "Books all say different things while people flap their yellow wings " but you dont KNOW if these things are true. Serj is possibly sugesting that know one knows what happens to the dead. The lyrics seem to be talking about death, possibly suicide and after life. This could be a link to your terriost idea BUT system of a downs song "War" Serj seems to be rejecting war "Of war, we don't speak anymore"Īs for the song Know I dont think that flying and dying is reffering to september 11. It has been suggested that this song is about war. Possibly the reason why the alboum was number one is because system of a down play fucken good music, they are and awsome band to listen to. The fact that Toxicity was released a week before the attacks proves nothing. I know many middle eastern people that are good people. People can be good and decent people no matter what race they are. The fact that they are of middle eastern heritage proves nothing. I think that you shouldn't jump to conclusions some of your eveidence is weak.įirstly you can not judge a person because of their heritage. Jonbean I read your response with an open mind and her is what I have to say: (Here you go) create another fable, you wanted to Hide the scars to fade away the (hide the scars to fade away the) Why'd you leave the keys upon the table? You wanted to Hide the scars to fade away the shake up, you wanted to Grab a brush and put a little makeup, you wanted to Here you go, create another fable, you wanted to In the narrative of the podcast, this occurs at the end of the second episode subsequent episodes deal with the fallout from McLemore's death while exploring more of McLemore's life & character.Hide the scars to fade away the shake up (hide the scars to fade away the) McLemore killed himself by drinking potassium cyanide on Jwhile the podcast was still in production. He recorded conversations with McLemore & other people in Woodstock. Reed investigated the crime & eventually found that no such murder took place, though he struck up a friendship with the depressed but colorful character of McLemore. After a year of exchanging emails & several months of conversation with McLemore, producer Brian Reed traveled to Woodstock to investigate. McLemore sent an email to the staff of the show 'This American Life' asking them to investigate an alleged murder in his hometown of Woodstock, Alabama, a place McLemore claimed to despise. Matt also comments specifically on the lyrics: "I decided that the lyrics would shadow McLemore's life." In 2012, antiquarian horologist John B. Watching the initial trailers for the game & looking at production sketches reminded him of the 'S-Town' podcast & its main protagonist, John B. Matt Shadows their lead singer says the song was written as per request from the developers of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Hide the scars to fade away the shake up (hide the scars to fade away the)
